What’s the difference between spotlights and floodlights?
Spotlights produce a narrow beam of light intended to light small areas or highlight particular features.
Floodlights, on the other hand, can light much larger surface areas due to their wider beam.
Where can I use floodlights?
People most commonly use floodlights outdoors, often to improve security around their home or business premises. They can also be used to highlight architectural or landscape features, light up retail signs, illuminate car parks, or light large open areas such as sporting venues.
Can I use floodlights indoors?
The amount of light emitted by floodlights is usually too intense for home interiors. But they’re a very popular choice for lighting the insides of warehouses and other large industrial or commercial spaces.
What wattage do I need?
In most cases, a 30W-50W outdoor floodlight will be enough for general outdoor lighting. But if your space is particularly large, you might need a 100W-200W outdoor floodlight instead.
How long do LED floodlights last?
LED floodlights have a very long lifespan of up to 50,000 hours.
Do LED floodlights get hot?
Although LED floodlights produce a large amount of light, they actually emit very little heat. This makes them much safer and more energy efficient compared to conventional bulbs.
